Why a China Hunting Show?
Four Days...1.4B Prospective New Hunters
20-23 June, 2019
The First-Ever International Hunting Show in China!
The rise of China will be a boon to the hunting industry. Of the 1.4B China population, fully 400,000,000 are part of the burgeoning middle class. In 2017, about 130 million Chinese tourists traveled abroad. The UN World Tourism Organization stated overseas consumption by Chinese tourists accounted for over one fifth of the world’s total. A growing pastime for many of this voracious traveling class is hunting.
The first China Hunting Show will be held in conjunction with the 24th annual China International Boat Show in Shanghai. A lifestyle show that features avocations such as fishing, camping, boating, and RV, it only makes sense the CIBS would add the fast-growing, equipment-rich sport of hunting as one of its' categories.

FAQ China Hunting Show
I have never been to China before. What travel documents must I have to attend the Chinese Hunting Show in Shanghai?

Generally speaking, everyone needs a China Visa to stay in Shanghai. Visitors must have a valid passport with a 6-month validity beyond the date of arrival and two consecutive blank pages remaining to allow for visas and stamps that need to appear together.
What airport do I fly to?

Shanghai is the only city in China serviced by two international airports. Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) receives most of Shanghai's international traffic, although Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) is very close to the National Exhibition & Convention Center. Either airport will have connections to downtown Shanghai and the convention center.
How will I communicate with Chinese speakers at my booth?

As part of your booth fee, you will be provide one or more Chinese/English interpreters to help with communication. You probably will not be able to speak to as many folks in a day as you do in Dallas or Reno, but you will be able to articulately communicate with prospective clients. If you would like to have additional interpreters in your booth, just let us know and we can help make those arrangements.
What should I bring to exhibit?

China has different import laws than what you are probably used to, so what you can display may be different. Firearms and taxidermy displays are forbidden, as are most other animal parts like skulls and horns. What will work well, despite the language barrier, are visual displays, such as television and computer monitors, as well as display photograph and albums. If you have a backdrop kit that you can velcro photos to, great. Otherwise, display visuals on the table or on monitor stands. Another idea: have your "pitch" or "specials" sheet printed in both Chinese and English.
Where can I find more information and how do apply to exhibit?

Both can be found here:
